Sizing your uploaded images BEFORE uploading them on the site improves page loading speeds.
Resize One Image at a Time (see screenshot for reference):
- Upload image
- Choose Resize for “Custom” and enter your desired width value. (No need to enter the height value.) (Keep in mind that the content area of your site is 1150 pixels.)
- Click download to save your optimized image (you may want to name it with a name that indicates that it has been optimized)
- Use the new file to upload to your site.
Bulk Resize Image (see screenshot for reference):
- Choose images by clicking the large “Choose Images” button.
- Select the WIDTH option
- Enter your desired width value and WEBP as the format (this file type offers the most compression) and uncheck transparent background.
- Click the Start button
- Use the new images to upload to your site
