Custom web Design for your unique business
- The process begins by meeting with the client to learn about the organization and project goals. We also learn about the client’s aesthetic likes and dislikes by examining design samples that appeal to the client. In addition, the client’s target market preferences and habits. This information is used to design a website that appeals to the client’s unique target market. (Check out the New Client Questionnaire PDF)
- Furthermore, research of similar and/or competing websites is also conducted, ensuring that the client’s website design is unique and competitive.
- At this point, the design layout is started. The designer combines images (photos, illustrations), written content, site navigation, and the client’s business branding elements (such as logos, etc- provided by the client) into the layout. Two unique layout solutions are created that will be highly functional and visually interesting.
- The design solutions are then presented to the client for review. Flourish Design Studio encourages clients to review the layouts and record initial reactions. Then, it is recommended that the client review the solutions over time (usually about one week) before providing specific feedback so that the designs can be refined. Ongoing communication between the client and designer results in one customized, highly-functioning final web layout.
- This final/working web layout (also referred to as a frame) will then be applied site-wide. Often times, the interior pages will be a variation of the home page design. This results in a website that is visually consistent from page to page, while also allowing for thematic variations when called for.
- In addition to the web ‘frame- ie. header, footer, and background’, Flourish Design Studio encourages clients to make the content area of the website visually attractive as well. Therefore, the written content provided for the website will be formatted in a visually interesting manner. When appropriate, images are used to support written content, visually enhance the content area, and to improve readability. Clients are encouraged to provide images, which can be used throughout the site and in addition to stock photos (when needed).
SEO-Friendly Code and Content
Your uniquely-designed website will then be coded to comply with today's web standards to improve search engine results- so your potential clients can find you! Flourish Design Studio will also support and coach you to develop web content that is also search-engine friendly- maximizing your search engine optimization (SEO) from the beginning of web development.
